BUNBURY SPAR BUOY
MMD have now successfully completed the custom design of Bunbury Spar Buoy for Fendercare Australia which is provided for the Bunbury Port Authority.
The Buoy is constructed from heavy duty steel to ensure durability. The Bunbury Spar Buoy was successfully launched and has been in active service since January 2012.
The Buoy replaces Beacon # 3 located at the entrance to the Bunbury Harbour and it is used for ship guidance and collecting and transmitting environmental data.
CULLEN BAY
MMD is currently involved in the design of an aluminium 61.5 x 6 metre pontoon for the Northern Territory Government which will replace the existing pontoon at Cullen Bay.
The aluminium construction will ensure a service life of 30 years.
The Cullen Bay pontoon will provide drop-off and pick-up facilities for passengers and goods using charter boats, and the Mandorah and Bathurst Island ferry services, and small to medium size recreational vessels.
The pontoon will be fitted with fuel supply facilities.
An update will be posted once the construction is completed and the pontoon is launched.
